Dunk Contests – How to Play

Welcome to the all-new Dunk Weekly Contests! The Dunk Weekly contests allow you to use cards from your Dunk Collection to compete with your fellow Dunk users and earn free prizes! Each week we will be awarding users that finish with the top scores. Additionally, we will have a season long contest for even bigger prizes!

So, how do the contests work? Just follow these simple steps:

  • From the main Drop Down Menu select CONTEST

             

  • From the Contest Home Page you will see that week’s NBA schedule. Each Dunk Weekly Contest runs from Monday of that week through Sunday.
  • To enter the contest you will need to set your team. Click the MY TEAM tab at the top of the screen:

  • Using cards in your Dunk collection you will be able to set your lineup for that week. Press the + for the position you want to fill and then drag and drop any card from your collection into that position. Your lineup consists of the following:
    • 3 Forwards
    • 3 Guards
    • 1 Center
    • 2 Flex Positions – (Forward, Guard or Center)
  • Once you have saved your lineup, your Weekly Team is set!
  • You do have the ability to update players on your team up to 15 minutes before a player’s game starts.
  • Once a player on your team has played, they will be locked to your lineup for the remainder of that week
  • You may not play a specific player more than once, despite the number of cards owned of that player.
  • TIP – Be sure to check the Weekly Schedule to see which players may be playing the most games that week!

SCORING

  • Here is how each player’s score is calculated for their game:
    • 1 point scored  = 1 Contest Point
    • 1 rebound = 1.2 Contest Points
    • 1 Assist = 1.5 Contest Points
    • 1 Steal = 3 Contest Points
    • 1 Block = 3 Contest Points
    • 1 Turnover = (-1) Contest Points
  • Some Cards also contain Scoring Bonuses based on the card’s rarity or value. You can see your card’s Scoring Bonus by looking at the back of the card. Cards can have anywhere from a 1x to 25x Scoring Bonus. If a player scores 15 points in a game and you play a 3x Scoring Bonus card of that player, you would receive 45 Points for your Contest Team rather than the normal 15 Points.

PRIZES

  • Prizes will be awarded weekly following Sunday’s NBA Action. The Contest Rewards are as follows:
    • Finishing 1st through 10th earns 10,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 11th through 50th earns 5,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 51st through 100th earns 1,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 101st or higher earns 500 Dunk Coins
  • The Season Contest rewards will be:
    • Finishing 1st earns 1 Million Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 2nd through 10th earns 300,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 11th through 50th earns 100,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 51st through 100th earns 50,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 101st through 250th earns 25,000 Dunk Coins
    • Finishing 251st or higher earns 5,000 Dunk Coins
